Center-plan single-story stucco homes are the usual trigger. The laundry sits in the middle. The duct wanders through soffit for a long, lazy run. Rerouting means finding a shorter path out. Rerouting replaces flexible foil and vinyl with rigid metal, joints taped, pitched so nothing pools at a low point. Screened and caged caps come off. They never belonged there.
